Robot Navigation in GPS denied Environments.
Aug 2019 - Dec 2019
Environment navigation and mapping is an important task for robots to autonomously perform various tasks. This project presents an alternative solution to the problem of simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) when the invariant environment is dark and indoors, rendering the use of camera and GPS less effective. The approach uses commercial indoor positioning systems (IPS) using Ultra-Wide Bands(UWBs) and Bluetooth communication for indoor navigation without vision and LIDARs for mapping in an environment where the lighting is unpredictable.
